Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? : Wowser?

What a bunch of bloody tight fisted bastards at TVNZ!

They start up a New Zealand version of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" and they go and ask 2 tricky questions before the 1st contestant even gets to $500!!!

$300 Question: In New Zealand, what do you call a Tee totalling Prude? answer : A Wowser

WTF? A Wowser?

She had to ask the audience and I am assuming that because the audience are made up of Kiwis, that they would know this. Guess what? the vast majority had no idea what it was either!

I think this is some op brass idea of trying to instill some NZ culture into the questions, what the hell are they thinking??? try something a bit more obvious! A Wowser? eh?

Its supposed to be easy until you get to $1000 dollars!

We the audience want tension after the $1000 mark, that's when people get glued to the screen, whats wrong TVNZ?, you cannot afford to let them go home with at least a grand?

$500 Question: What make of car is New Zealand's new fleet of ministerial limousines?

Christ! how the hell is anyone supposed to know that? (well, I guess some people would) but for a $500 question you would think they could ask something a bit easier.

The contestant had to phone a friend, (a deputy principal) and he was like "What? I have no idea!"

So, New Zealands first contestant goes home empty handed and embarrassed.

TVNZ, you should be ashamed!!
