FEMA make money off IKE Victims!

What the hell? America, FEMA, what are you doing?

I hope this is wrong and I don't normally create a new Post based on a comment on a previous post but apparently, FEMA are offering "low interest" loans to people affected by Hurricane IKE in order to get themselves sorted out.

Surely the USA can afford to look after its own people when it comes to things like this!? I would be absolutely horrified if all the government did was offer loans. Where is the material? where is the physical help? where is the Army engineers?

A low interest loan is still generating profit. Not a good look FEMA.

Excerpt of Source.

"Begin Quote"
" We live in a suburb just outside of Houston, and despite having little damage there, they aren't getting our power back up until October 5. Plus FEMA won't give assistance to people without power for three weeks, except in the form of a "low-interest loan." They want to make money off of us, when we can't work and can't live in our homes. I can't believe more people aren't talking about this in the news..."
"End Quote"

I know a lot of people did not heed the evacuation orders and to be honest, "on their own head be it. " But what about those who are on the outlying areas who did not get the order to leave?
