Russian Warships Head For Latin America

An Armada of four Russian Warships have left the port of Severomorsk for Venezuela.

It appears that Hugo the Boss (Chavez) has invited them over to participate in some Military exercises with the Venezuelan Fleet.

The Russian armada is being led by the giant Russian Battlecruiser Pyotr Velikiy (Peter the Great).

This huge ship alone weights in at 25,000 Tonnes, that's bigger than a UK Aircraft carrier!

The Ruskies appear to have pushed for increased relations with Venezuela, Cuba and other Latin American nations.

If the Russian are attempting a Power projection posture, then I think The Peter the Great Battlecruiser alone, will achieve this.

Moscow and Washington are not being too friendly these days, especially after the short war with the western ally Georgia last month.
