Iran Will Blockade the Persian Gulf

Iran will blockade the Persian Gulf if the West attacks!

“No vessel could pass through the Persian Gulf waters without being at the reach of the missiles of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corp Navy (IRGCN),” Major General Yahya Rahim-Safavi the top military advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

I reckon they would do it as well, also they are in a unique geographical situation with a long gulf coastline with plenty of offensive positions to choose from. Iran would considerably upset the vital oil supplies throughout the region and do doubt push the oil price sky high should a blockade ever ensue, even if it were only to last a short period of time.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard also has in addition to their missiles, what they claim as the worlds fastest underwater torpedo / missile which they tested back in 2006.

National TV programmes were interrupted to show footage of the missile being fired into the Gulf and destroying a derelict ship.
