Poor Americans, they are such easy targets for British comedy.

Borat did it, and was lucky to escape the USA with his Kashakstani Moustache intact, now Sacha Baron Cohen's latest character has made another trip to the US as the Gay Austrian Fashion Guru named Bruno.

Bruno: Delicious Journeys Through America For The Purpose Of Making Heterosexual Males Visibly Uncomfortable In The Presence Of A Gay Foreigner In A Mesh T-Shirt, is the title of the new film by Sacha Baron Cohen.

First it was Ali G, then Borat, now Bruno looks like the next big thing in controversial, cringe-worthy, shock and uncomfortable comedy.

I am so glad to see British comedy still riding high and managing to fend off much of the mainstream canned laughter shows from across the pond, The Office, Extras, Ali G, Borat, The League of Gentlemen are among my favourites. May there be many more to come.
